Our Subsquid worker nodes
LEAD NODE runs two worker nodes on the Subsquid Tethys testnet. Workers store and serve indexed blockchain data to the applications that query the network, so the job is closer to running a distributed database than to producing blocks.

What a worker does
Subsquid spreads indexed blockchain history across many independent machines instead of one provider's servers. A worker holds a share of that data and answers queries against it, which makes storage throughput and consistent availability the things that matter.
Why testnet, and what that means
Tethys is the Subsquid test network. Running there means the nodes carry no production data and no real value, which is exactly why it is the right place to learn a network properly before anyone depends on it. We would rather say the nodes are on testnet than let the distinction blur.
